Big Bad Bettie Press is rooted in the value of the tangible and believes that artists and innovators need to be part of the batter, not just the icing. We make books, art objects, and promote ideas that are bold, brassy, and creative.  Rabbit Rabbitis one of those ideas.

The first 200 collectors will also receive a hand crafted letter press postcard by Black Dog Press. Illustration sourced from BBB's archive circa 1940.

OF WHAT'S INSIDE
THE FIRST ISSUE!

ANNA ROSE lives and works in Florence, Italy.  Her work spans video, photography, costume and installation with a sensibility towards the relationship between body and environment, and lets face it the bizarre.  In this issue, she shared work made in Iceland after she received her MFA from San Francisco Art Institute.  She also speaks with Megan Ross in great interview about her fascination with synthetic hair!

MEGAN REED graduated with an MFA from California College of the Arts where she was the recipient of the Graduate Painting Teaching Fellowship and the Rex Ray Material Support Award. She is also a founding member of CTRL+SHFT Collective in Oakland, CA. In this issue, she shares work that evokes intrigue, excitement, and curiosity.

MIKA AONO is a multidisciplinary artist living in Eugene, OR and her quiet work always packs a punch. Her beautiful work explores humanness in absurdity and futility through laborious processes, giving meaning to the meaningless.  Talk about transition!  Born in Sendai, Japan, Mika received an MFA in Printmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute.

Rabbit Rabbit is an annual curated journal of artists and innovators. Each issue, we pick a theme and bring you a variety of stories on that theme. For our first issue, we were curious about the transition from higher education to the "real world".  We invited recent graduates with Masters and PhDs in a variety of fields to interpret, express, and comment on TRANSITION.  The result is a carefully curated book of artworks, images, and writings from 21 recent graduates all navigating the next stage of their worlds.
